Ercas Integrated Solutions, a world-leading provider of secure payment infrastructure and identity management technologies, has today announced the appointment of Olufunke AlomoOluwa as its new Managing Director, with effect from today.
In her role as Managing Director, Olufunke will lead the strategic growth of the company on the African continent and around the world, forge business growth, build its suite of secure payment solutions, and expand its identity management platforms to address the evolving needs of businesses, governments, and individuals.
She will lead Ercas into its next stage of global expansion, with the goal of establishing the company as a reliable, Africa-born technology partner globally.
Olufunke has more than 20 years of leadership in fintech, identity management, and enterprise digital transformation. She is recognized as a pioneering and results-focused leader. She has also worked at senior levels at Chams Plc and ChamsAccess Limited, where she led a number of high-impact national programs.
One of her greatest achievements is leading the national roll-out of Nigeria's Bank Verification Number (BVN) program—a revolutionary financial security and inclusion initiative. The program covered 5,000 bank branches across all 36 states, installed over 60,000 biometric terminals, and reduced Nigeria's monthly government expenditure by an estimated $11 million by simplifying ghost workers and preventing fraud.
Olufunke arrives to Ercas with diversified experience and an excellent track record of public-private innovation. She is a fellow of ICAN, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Directors, CIoD, and executive alumnae of Harvard University as well as Cornell University. She is also an MBA holder from Pan-Atlantic University in partnership with IESE Business School, Spain. She is a member of professional organizations such as the Nigeria Computer Society and Women in Management, Business and Public Service.
Reacting to the appointment, Olufunke AlomoOluwa stated:
"I am privileged to lead Ercas at this time in its evolution. The firm has built a record as a strongly respected innovation leader in designing accessible digital solutions. My focus will be on growing our impact throughout Africa and into new regions, enabling more people, businesses, and governments to use secure, scalable, and inclusive technologies."
Samsudeen Oduwole, Board Chairman for Ercas Integrated Solutions, also opined:
"Ercas's vast experience in rolling out national-scale programs and technical competence in the fintech and digital identity segment position her well to lead the company into its next stage of growth. We believe that the company, with her at the helm, will scale new heights and become a force to be reckoned with in the digital transformation and financial inclusion realms."
Led by Olufunke, Ercas is well set to accelerate product creation, create strategic partnerships, and power cross-border market growth, all in facilitating Africa's growing strength in the global digital economy.
