In May 20–22, EY hosted the 10th EY Entrepreneurial Winning WomenTM (EWW) Asia-Pacific Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking a significant milestone. By identifying and assisting high-potential female entrepreneurs from throughout the region, this flagship program helps them grow their companies, go global, and motivate coming generations.
The 2025 cohort includes 24 trailblazing women whose businesses have created over 11,000 jobs and generated over USD 1.2 billion in revenue, demonstrating the critical role women-led businesses play in promoting inclusive economic growth.
In its 10th year, the EWW Asia-Pacific program has developed into a thriving ecosystem that links female leaders from various industries, fostering cooperation, creativity, and long-term company expansion. The program keeps enabling participants to develop into transformational leaders by providing them with access to strategic advice, powerful networks, and specialized mentoring.
With more than 64 percent of MSMEs run by women, Peter Surja, Country Managing Partner at EY Indonesia, highlighted the crucial role women play in Indonesia's economy and how they influence industries like manufacturing, healthcare, and technology.
Claire Cardno, EY Asia-Pacific Risk Management Leader and Co-Executive Sponsor of the EWW program, gave the opening remarks at the conference, emphasizing the value of shared growth, belief, and connection. This year, three industry leaders Imelda Harsono of PT Samator Indo Gas Tbk, Amira Ganis of Brawijaya Healthcare Group, and Anandita Makes of Plataran Indonesia represented Indonesia.
Participants engaged in lively discussions about regional opportunity, talent strategy, business growth, and leadership. Panels discussing Indonesia's distinctive business potential, workforce resilience, and sustainability were among the highlights. Among the notable speakers were Patrick Winter of EY, Marina Budiman of PT DCI Indonesia Tbk, and Shinta W. Kamdani of APINDO.
The conference concluded with a joyous Business Leaders Networking Event that raised IDR 100 million for the Ronald McDonald House Charities Foundation through a fashion show with members of the Class of 2025 and an auction of a traditional Suntiang headpiece. The event serves as a potent testament to the influence of women's leadership and the momentum of change being driven by women entrepreneurs throughout the Asia-Pacific region as Jakarta's time as the host city draws to a close.
