FPCCI Trains Women Entrepreneurs in AI and Business Skills

By: Global Woman Leader Team | Wednesday, 21 October 2026

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has organised a specialised training programme to strengthen the digital capabilities and business skills of women entrepreneurs in Pakistan. Held at the federation's headquarters in Karachi, the programme, titled “AI & Business Development for Women Entrepreneurs”, operated under the theme “Her Digital Uraan” through FPCCI's Central Standing Committee on Women Entrepreneurs.

The initiative aimed to help women entrepreneurs understand the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI), adopt digital tools and develop the business skills required to expand their enterprises. It also focused on improving participants' understanding of regulatory compliance, branding and formal business operations.

Key Highlights:

  • FPCCI trains women entrepreneurs in AI and digital business development
  • Experts explain tax filing, company registration and branding strategies
  • The Her Digital Uraan initiative promotes women's participation in Pakistan's digital economy

The training featured two sessions covering digital business development and business formalisation.

The first session explored how women entrepreneurs could use smartphones and digital technologies to improve their business operations. It also highlighted the role of AI in business development, including its potential to support entrepreneurial activities and improve operational efficiency. Numaima Manoor and Syed Ali Hussain conducted the session, introducing participants to the relevance of digital tools in managing and developing their businesses.

The second session focused on the administrative and branding requirements involved in establishing and growing a business. Participants learned about National Tax Number (NTN) registration, tax filing procedures, and company registration. The session also covered logo creation, brand development, and strategies to strengthen business identity and market positioning.

Rafia Maniar, Senior Vice President of FPCCI, and Lubna Aman, Sub-Convener of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee, led the second session. Their discussions addressed the importance of formalising business operations and building recognisable brands to support sustainable growth.

Nazli Abid Nisar, former Vice President of FPCCI and Founder President of the Karachi Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KWCCI), delivered the welcome remarks. Afsha Aman delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the programme to a close.

The initiative reflects efforts to equip women entrepreneurs with practical knowledge as businesses increasingly adopt digital technologies. Access to AI tools, online platforms and digital business practices can help entrepreneurs improve productivity, reach wider customer groups and manage daily operations more effectively.

Similarly, greater awareness of taxation, registration and branding can help women-led businesses establish formal structures and strengthen their credibility in the marketplace. These capabilities are particularly relevant for entrepreneurs seeking to move beyond small-scale operations and build sustainable enterprises.

Through Her Digital Uraan, FPCCI sought to bring together digital literacy and essential business knowledge, enabling women entrepreneurs to navigate both the technological and administrative aspects of running a business.

The programme underscores the importance of digital inclusion, entrepreneurial development, and women's economic participation in Pakistan. By combining AI awareness with practical guidance on compliance and branding, the initiative aims to help women entrepreneurs develop the skills needed to participate more effectively in an increasingly digital economy.
