Fredericton Women's Show Brings 50 Women-Led Businesses Together

The Fredericton Women's Show showcased more than 50 women-owned businesses on second weekend of June, bringing in approximately 1,500 people. This event which takes place every year.

One of the co-organizers Alicia Nickelson alongside owner of Journey Fitness Studio vendor Jamie Murdock spoke on the importance of the event in promoting local entrepreneurs and women networking. Part of the funds raised will go to Sexual Violence New Brunswick.

A semi-annual trade show featuring women-owned businesses in Fredericton re-doubled its commitment to showcasing local entrepreneurs. More than 50 vendors from bakers to tattoo artists took part in the Fredericton Women's Show on Saturday and Sunday. An estimated 1,500 individuals visited the show, which has been held in Fredericton for close to two decades.

Alicia said in a statement, “There's a solid core of vendors. But there's always some new and different ones each year.”

This was Jamie Murdock's seventh year visiting the Fredericton Women's Show.

Jamie added, “We get to meet so many different people and it's a wonderful opportunity for other local vendors to do the same. It's just a way to bring as many women together as possible to celebrate not only entrepreneurship but also being able to support locals and be part of the larger picture.”
