Global Women Leaders Gather in Cairo for She Leads 360 Summit

• Women leaders from 45 countries meet for global summit
• Focus on female leadership, economic empowerment and sustainability

Global women leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs have come together in Cairo for the ‘She Leads 360°’ summit, a major international event focused on advancing female leadership and economic empowerment. The Businesswomen of Egypt 21 (BWE21), organizing a four-day conference from April 23rd to 26th, 2026, across Cairo and Alexandria.

The summit, under the patronage of the Egyptian Cabinet, will be hosted at the Arab League Headquarters to emphasize the increasing role of women leadership in the contemporary globalized economy. It is a strong cross-cultural exchange and cooperation platform with representatives of 45 countries participating.

On behalf of Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouli, the Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity Eng. Margaret Sarofim presented women economic empowerment as a national development . She observed that providing equal opportunities to women in the workplaces is a direct way to achieve stability and prosperity of a country. She also emphasised the crucial contribution of women to culture and consciousness, particularly when they are financially independent.

President of BWE21, Dr Yomna El Sheridy said that it is the first time Egypt hosts the FCEM World Committee Meeting, which is a sign that the world trusts the country to support women in business. She also mentioned that the summit will serve to establish international relations, promote the knowledge sharing process, and empower women in the sustainable development.

Some of the major subjects discussed in the conference include innovation, creative economy, cross-border leadership, sustainability and renewable energy. It also contributes to the better relations between regional and global markets, and this opens new possibilities to women-led enterprises.

The event, with the help of various government ministries and international organisations, makes Egypt an emerging centre of women leadership and international collaboration.
