Going for Growth, a program aimed at female entrepreneurs who want to grow their profits, create jobs and look for new market opportunities, is now accepting applications for its 18th cycle. This initiative is available to women business owners in all sectors, sponsored by Enterprise Ireland and KPMG, and is provided free of charge to selected applicants.

Since being established in 2008, Going for Growth has supported over 1,000 women who have completed the program.

Applications are now open for a period of time from October 13 up to midnight on November 21 at www.GoingforGrowth.com. The next cycle will run for six months, from January to June, involving 60 participants at one roundtable each month.

Going for Growth has been recognized by the EU, OECD, and European Institute of Gender Equality as a meaningful initiative to build women's ambition and support female entrepreneurs in their growth.

Support continues beyond the six-month cycle, with alumni joining the Going for Growth community and being eligible to apply for the Continuing the Momentum cohort programme that provides peer-supported roundtables, goal-setting, and milestone tracking to continue to support growth.

Paula Fitzsimons, the National Director of Going for Growth, stated, "The programme has yielded great results in terms of revenue, employment and market expansion, and more than 1,000 female business owners have benefited from the programme."

She also expressed that participants have provided feedback on positive outcomes personally and professionally.

Jenny Melia, the Chief Executive Officer at Enterprise Ireland, highlighted the agency's role to enable women entrepreneurs at all levels of their entrepreneurship journey.

She pointed out that the programme builds skills, ambition and talent and also builds on the perception of Ireland being a great place to start and build a business.

Olivia Lynch, the Partner at KPMG, also spoke about their engagement with women entrepreneurs in Ireland given the uncertain and changing economic situation in 2025.

Olivia noted that Going for Growth is empowering women with the tools and resources they need to succeed in business, including mentoring and a group of women with similar ideas.
