  • Virtual Care by HerMD, a specialized telehealth platform, has been launched, according to HerMD
  • Emphasizes all-encompassing women's health services, with a focus on menopause and sexual health

Leading provider of evidence-based women's healthcare, HerMD, has introduced Virtual Care by HerMD, a specialized telehealth platform that provides individualized services for menopause and sexual health. Scheduling is now open for virtual appointments, which will start on June 2.

A significant advancement in HerMD's care delivery model is represented by this new platform. HerMD is committed to providing professional, compassionate care, particularly for women whose health issues are frequently disregarded in traditional settings, even after closing its physical locations due to systemic healthcare issues.

Komel Caruso, co-founder and CEO of HerMD, stated, "We have always aimed to change the way women are treated." We're increasing access to highly qualified professionals in menopause and sexual health—areas where less than 30 percent of OBGYNs have adequate training—with Virtual Care by HerMD. This platform aids in bridging that divide.

With the launch, board-certified OB/GYN Dr. Somi Javaid, the founder and chief medical officer of HerMD, will once again oversee patient care. Dr. Javaid, a well-known pioneer in women's health, contributed to the development of HerMD's business model by providing longer consultations, individualized treatment programs, and a comprehensive approach to patient care.

According to Dr. Somi, "HerMD was developed by listening to women who felt disregarded or ignored." "With virtual care, we maintain the time, trust, and practical solutions that set our approach apart. I can't wait to get back to clinical care and carry on our work in this new phase".

Extended visits that include thorough health evaluations, time to talk about personal issues, and the development of individualized care plans will be advantageous to patients utilizing Virtual Care by HerMD. Prescriptions, lab or imaging orders, and, if necessary, referrals to in-person or specialized care are all included in the services.

The biopsychosocial approach is the foundation of HerMD's care model, which takes into account a woman's entire range of physical, mental, and social health. The clinical team has decades of experience and a strong dedication to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
