Hitachi Vantara, the data storage, infrastructure, and hybrid cloud management division of Hitachi Ltd, has announced the appointment of Wendy Koh as the Vice President of Sales for the Asia Pacific region, effective today.
Wendy will be based in Singapore and will oversee the technical sales strategy of the company across the regions.
Her responsibilities will also include managing the sales teams across the regions; developing customer and partner relationships; as well as helping to drive the adoption of Hitachi Vantara’s products such as Virtual Storage Platform One (VSP One).
Wendy is responsible to Adrian Johnson, the Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Americas and Asia Pacific at Hitachi Vantara.
Adrian has observed that the adoption of artificial intelligence and cloud-based solutions is fueling the growth of the data center market in the APAC market, and that industry leaders with hands-on knowledge play an important role in managing the changing needs of enterprises.
Wendy was of the view that the industry knowledge, data, and cloud solutions offered by the company’s hybrid cloud solutions are able to support customers in digital transformation.
She has more than 30 years of experience within the information technology space with a focus on consulting, strategy, infrastructure management, projects, and partnerships.
Prior to her role as the Executive Vice President of Southeast Asia for Capgemini, she was a senior executive for Cisco, Juniper, and NetApp, and her expertise lies within networking, storage technologies, cloud software, and strategic partnerships.
In addition to her experience as an executive, Wendy is a non-executive and independent director at ASMPT Limited, a Singapore-based manufacturer of semiconductors and electronics products
