IKEA Appoints Alejandra Pinol as CHRO

Ingka Group, which is the biggest retailer of IKEA retail hardware, has named Alejandra Piñol as CHRO and Global People & Culture Manager from January 1, 2026

Effective immediately, Alejandra will oversee and drive IKSE's global People & Culture strategy and agenda centering on leadership and cultural dimensions to deliver human-centric growth that drives business performance.

Alejandra has over 14 years of experience within the IKEA ecosystem, having led senior leadership positions in diverse regions and contexts. Her professional path has included roles such as CHRO at IKEA China, as well as a Deputy CHRO position at Ingka Group.

This announcement was made on LinkedIn by her as an opportunity to herself as it was a privilege to be able to contribute to IKEA’s vision of "creating a better everyday life for the many people."

She explained how people are the heart of the culture and future success of IKEA and how she was devoted to making the most of the company’s solid foundation while living the future with determination and kindness.

Alejandra will replace Ulrika Biesèrt, who will assume a brand-new function as a Global People, Sustainability & Communication Manager at Ingka Group.

Alejandra’s appointment illustrates IKEA’s commitment to maintaining a focused interest in incorporating people and culture in their worldwide strategy in line with changes in a shifting business environment.
