  • Impact Hub and MetLife Foundation support 14 women entrepreneurs with disabilities through the BEAM programme
  • The programme equips them with tools and resources necessary to run their businesses successfully

Through a program entitled "Building Entrepreneurial Access Model" (BEAM), Impact Hub in collaboration with MetLife Foundation, is aiming to support and mentor 14 mentally and physically disabled female entrepreneurs.

The BEAM initiative has equipped each of the program’s participants with numerous tools, resources and advisory services to support their ability to build and operate their businesses in an effective way.

As part of the BEAM program, all participants receive one-on-one mentoring and expert training through masterclass sessions in Digital Communication, Financial Management and Inclusive Business that focuses on addressing the intersectional challenges of systemic barriers to building and sustaining successful entrepreneurship.

Participants across the country engaged in a six-month programme that included a three-day intensive resident boot camp on leadership, business planning, and peer learning.

In addition, participants showcased their products and services through three community events to allow them to link with stakeholders from the public and private sectors. Each participant also received a monthly stipend for six months to support business continuity.

The initiative is part of MetLife Foundation's ongoing efforts to support and empower underserved communities in Bangladesh.
