  •  Resonance, a Bristol-based impact investment company, has grown its leadership team
  • Two prominent business leaders have been elected to the investment committee of the Community Developers Fund
  • The action is geared towards enhancing the strategic leadership and influence of the fund

Resonance, the Bristol impact investment firm, has strengthened its management team with the addition of two well-known entrepreneurs to the investment committee of its Community Developers Fund. The fund wants to empower communities to create and own income-generating assets such as affordable housing, leisure centers, and renewable energy projects.

Alongside the investment committee are seated award-winning entrepreneur, philanthropist and AI coaching platform co-founder Erika Brodnock, and Verena Hefti, founder and chief executive of social enterprise Leaders Plus supporting working parents to achieve senior leadership positions.

Erika, a King's College London and University of Exeter fellow, said in her enthusiasm “I’m thrilled to be able to contribute to Resonance’s mission to provide life-changing homes and support for people facing crisis. It is an exciting time for the organisation and I’m excited to play a role in the next chapter of its journey.”

Verena, the veteran campaigner for equal career opportunities and host of the “Big Careers, Small Children” podcast, stated that she hoped her appointment would be a catalyst for others:

“I am excited to develop this position into my larger mission of making change in society. I hope that my experience—to get a competitive investment committee position while pregnant and as a CEO—encourages others in the Leaders Plus community to stretch for opportunities regardless of what life is offering them.”

Daniel Brewer, Resonance Chief Executive, welcomed the new recruits, noting the "wealth of experience in leadership and impact" the two women bring as the company continues to invest in community-led projects across England.
