Efe Ukala, President and Co-founder of ImpactHER, has been celebrated on the 2025 Global Heroes Executive Role Model List in the Executive category, released by inclusion organisation INvolve in association with YouTube.

The Heroes Role Model Lists, sponsored by YouTube, identify executives, next-gen leaders, and champions who are driving women's representation and inclusion in international workplaces annually.

While giving her acceptance speech Ukala said the award represents ImpactHER's work to help empower African women entrepreneurs. The nonprofit has provided training, tools, and global opportunities for over 200,000 women-owned businesses across Africa and the Caribbean.

Efe said she was grateful to be recognized in the selection for 2025. The award "represents every woman who works quietly, but powerfully, for space for someone else" she said, adding that being named one of the YouTube Heroes affirms the importance of leadership that creates lasting change and creates space for women-owned businesses.

Suki Sandhu OBE, the founder and chief executive of INvolve, has commended Ukala and all of the awardees for their commitment to advancing inclusion and for leveraging their influence to create system changes within organisations.

Suki said, "We are here with an international cohort of brave executives, next-gen leaders and allies making sure that women in the workplace can flourish and thrive, using their lived experiences to make a difference and impact change."

The award to Ukala recognises her leadership in advancing inclusion, equity and economic improvement across Africa, a vision which complements ImpactHER's mission to open doors for women to thrive as leaders and business owners
