  • ISC Group launches a new exclusive membership initiative called "The Circle of Influence"
  • Intended for female executives, board members, and non-executive directors (NEDs)  in the insurance industry

ISC Group, an independent business network for women in insurance, has rolled out "The Circle of Influence," an invitation-only, exclusive membership aimed at convening senior women leaders, board members, and non-executive directors (NEDs).

Its purpose is to promote collaboration, raise boardroom influence, and accelerate constructive change throughout the industry. The formal launch was hosted at Odgers' London offices, where influential decision-makers within the financial services sector attended to mark the roll-out of the new programme. Guests were welcomed to the newly formed ISC Peer Advisory Committee and important partners, such as Odgers, The NED, JP Morgan, and GreenKite.

The Circle of Influence provides members with access to workshops led by experts, strategic guidance, carefully selected experiences, and a special forum to learn from and exchange practical solutions. ISC Group CEO Carmen Powell defined it as an influential platform for high-level women to come together, share experiences, and influence the future of insurance. Odgers' Alison Cannon was equally positive, referring to it as a major step toward building a more collaborative and empowering experience for women leaders.

This is against the backdrop of increasing momentum around women's empowerment within the UK insurance market. Organisations are putting more focus on efforts to promote gender equality, especially on days like International Women's Day (IWD).

Business leaders like Markel have emphasized dismantling systemic barriers, while Powell promoted the IWD theme #AccelerateAction, calling for actionable measures those open doors for women at all career levels. I. With over 10,000 members and 100 corporate partners, the ISC Group is committed to creating a more equal and diversified insurance industry.
