IWFCIS President Angeelia Phua Empowers Women in Business

International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry Singapore (IWFCIS) President Angeelia Phua is fostering change by aiding females to support one another in business.

While having a conversation with IN Diplomacy, she spoke about how IWFCIS is building creating a strong network for females via global partnerships, mentorship as well as trade opportunities.

In a statement, Angeelia stated, “At IWFCIS, we believe that when women support each other, incredible things happen. We give women access to the right people, resources, and training to grow their businesses, not just in Singapore but around the world.”

In addition, Global Women’s Trade Summit (GWTS) is one of the key events of the group. In 2025, the summit shall take place in Mumbai, keeping its focus on “Women as Catalysts for Global Trade and Economic Growth.” The event will involve discussion as well as business matching. She says, “It’s a great space where women can meet, learn, and explore new markets together.”

Moreover, the BRIM (Business, Relationships, Innovation, and Mental Resilience) Programme aids women to build a strong foundation for their businesses while IWFCIS connects them with mentors and investors to help them grow it.

Adding to her statements, she said, “Gender equality is everyone’s responsibility. When men support women in business and leadership, it leads to stronger communities and better results.”

Furthermore, she shares a message on International Women’s Day, stating, “International Women’s Day is a celebration of our resilience, achievements, and potential.” She adds, “We are stronger together, and when we support one another, we create Possibilities!”
