American technical professional services firm, Jacobs has appointed Cheryl Lim as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) as part of its efforts to strengthen its global leadership team, support continued growth and transformation, and advance its people strategy across complex global markets.
As part of this role, Cheryl will be responsible for the firm's overall talent development, organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, culture and workforce transformation strategy for its people worldwide. Her appointment adds rich global HR expertise across four key areas: Technology, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Data Centers, Industrial Systems and Enterprise Transformation.
Prior to Jacobs, Cheryl was Chief Human Resources Officer at Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), where she was responsible for the people strategy of a $9 billion global enterprise with some 28,000 staff. Within Vertiv, she consulted with the CEO and executive leadership team, reshaped HR service delivery, boosted talent acquisition efforts, implemented global job architecture, developed performance management and a global people strategy that enabled business growth and cultural change.
Before joining Vertiv, Cheryl was Vice President Human Resources (HR) for ITT Inc., where she helped ITT's Connect & Control Technologies business. In this capacity, she worked with executive leadership to drive business transformation, invest in talent, manage change, plan staffing, and redesign the HR operating model.

Previously, Cheryl served over two decades at Honeywell in a variety of senior global HR leadership positions in enterprise business transformation, corporate HR, EMEA and high growth regions, Northern Europe, integrated supply chain, staffing and HR generalist leadership. Her work focused on large-scale organizational design, executive leadership development, talent management, labor relations, leveraging digital and AI tools to support talent, succession planning and global transformation.
Cheryl has more than 20 years of international HR strategy and transformation experience at the helm of complex, multinational organizations, such as leading the HR transformation at the UK's largest firm of its kind. Cheryl has previously led HR strategy and transformation across a range of complex multinational organizations, with strong expertise in culture change, talent systems, leadership development, workforce planning, and organizational performance, leading Jacobs.
