Love For Change Women Foundation (LCWF) held the first EmpowerHER Entrepreneurship Workshop for young women entrepreneurs to connect and share knowledge for a day of learning and reflection.”

The workshop, which was entitled “From Hustle to Legacy: Building a Business That Outlives You,” targeted women aged 20 to 40 and sought to enhance entrepreneurship skills and financial management capabilities for sustainable business establishment.

The event offered activities that covered skills on how to apply business fundamentals practically. One of the activities that stood out was a session that merged personal vision map activities with business planning for growth and a business legacy for the future.

The keynote speaker, education professional with global experience Olamitoyosi Babatunde, began her presentation by focusing on the significance of thinking long-term in the area of entrepreneurship. Through her speech, she demonstrated the importance of leaving economic legacies in three ways: earning, maintaining, and increasing wealth.

Inyene Hadassah is a capacity development expert. She conducted a lecture on emotional intelligence in the workplace. Her presentations include customer relationship management, stress management, and empathetic leadership. These were all essential in sustainable enterprise development.

In this program, the areas of focus for the participants are business model development, customer segment identification, and so on. The workshop ended with a pitch session where the participants showcased their business concepts with clarity and structure.

Modupeola Bello Olukoya, the Founder of Love For Change Women Foundation, considered that the workshop supports the mission of the Foundation to open up economic opportunities for women.

According to her, financial freedom means that women are able to make their own personal and family decisions. She clarified that the workshop was meant to enable the participants to sharpen their ideas and develop more structured businesses.

She also said that “the results of this workshop confirm our foundation’s commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs, as well as our commitment to building lasting connections between participants.”

Then came the EmpowerHER workshop, which was held after participating in an eight-week EmpowerHER Bootcamp, a virtual program dealing in digital entrepreneurship, personal branding, and digital marketing. Jointly with Visionary Leaders Global Network (VLGN), LCWF also provided a grant in support of doing business to some of those participating in the boot camp.

The foundation appreciated the role played by the partners and volunteers who helped ensure the success of the program through coordination and support.
