Limerick, Ireland to Host Global Women in Film & TV Summit in Feb

• The 2026 Women in Film and Television Summit will take place next month in Limerick
• Attendees will include senior creatives and executives
• The summit will comprise discussions, collaboration and cultural exchange

The international Women in Film and Television summit, scheduled for 2026, are set to hold in Limerick next month. Top creative individuals and administrators will attend this summit. This summit will be held in Adare between February 4th and 7th.

The summit will be organized by Women in Film & Television-Ireland in collaboration with the latter, providing a forum for industry players on both sides of the lens, such as funders, broadcasters, commissioners, researchers, advocates, senior executives, and industry leaders in the global screen industries.

Guests would feature Oscar-nominated actress Ruth Negga, Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga, actor, director, and producer Aisha Tyler, along with Emmy Award-winning director Dearbhla Walsh.

Industry delegates would be represented by Fís Éireann / Screen Ireland, TG4, the British Film Institute, the Canada Media Fund, Nordisk Film & TV Fond, the Sweden Film Institute, among others.

Dr. Susan Liddy, the president of WIFTI and chair of WFT Ireland, to highlight at this summit how important this summit is to Ireland’s reputation in both film and television. He said: “Ireland's reputation for excellence and innovation in both the film and television industries is growing around the world.”

With roots in the 1970s in Los Angeles, WIFTI is a worldwide network that covers women in all sectors of screen media, having more than 60 chapters worldwide.
