Malaysian law firm RDS Partnership has bolstered its corporate and infrastructure practice with the promotion of two new partners, Hurriyyah Kamaruzzaman and Sharifah Sazita.
Hurriyyah, who had her own legal practice before joining the firm, has ten years of corporate, commercial, and real estate law experience. She has also practiced with well-known Malaysian firms Feroz & Co, Zul Rafique & Partners, and Kadir Andri & Partners.
Her experience spans the full range of corporate work from the usual acquisitions and disposals of businesses to sophisticated procurement deals in the public and private sectors. She has provided counsel in concession and framework agreements between government ministries and agencies.
Sharifah Sazita, previously at Whitepencil, a Middle East law firm, has joined RDS Partnership to head its Middle East desk. With more than 30 years of experience in project advisory, she is an expert in public-private partnerships (PPPs), energy, infrastructure, utilities, and public policy. Her portfolio includes advising clients on construction and engineering contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, and technical services agreements for projects in Malaysia, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, including Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Dubai, Pakistan, Iraq, and Jordan.
Sharifah was also a partner with Foong & Partners and Azmi & Associates in Malaysia as well as being associated with Bennett Jones and Al Tamimi & Company in Qatar.
These appointments take RDS Partnership's total of partners to 26. The firm has grown increasingly quickly this year, adding banking specialist Teo Siang Ly from Christopher & Lee Ong in April and five more partners in February.
