As reported by Meta, Dina Powell McCormick previously served as a member of Meta’s Board of Directors. She has also remained involved in Meta efforts regarding frontier AI and personal super intelligence.
Meta CEO and founder, Mark Zuckerberg, said that Dina brings experience and connections from working in international finance that would be an asset to the company in their next phase of growth.
In her new position, she would join the management team of Meta and help shape the execution of the company’s overall strategy.
Dina would be responsible for collaborating with the compute and infrastructure teams on the execution of Meta’s multi-billion-dollar investments, their impact on the economy, and their effect on the regions. Additionally, Dina would work on the development of strategic capital partnerships.
Dina has more than 25 years of experience in global finance, national security, as well as economic development.
At Goldman Sachs, she was a partner and held various positions of senior management, including sitting on the firm’s Management Committee.
Additionally, she led the Global Sovereign Investment Banking business. At Goldman Sachs, she participated in various economic development initiatives, including 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses, as well as One Million Black Women.
Dina has worked in the public service for two administrations in the US. This has included her role as the Deputy National Security Advisor for President Donald J. Trump, as well as other positions such as Senior White House Advisor and Assistant Secretary of State for President George W. Bush.
Most recently, she has worked as the Vice Chair, President, and Head of Global Client Services for BDT & MSD Partners.
