In order to bolster its global people leadership team, Netflix has appointed Patty Bear as its new Senior Director, HR Business Partner. Bear joins the company in June, bringing nearly 20 years of HR experience, including 10 years of revolutionary leadership at PayPal.

She will contribute to the development of Netflix's organizational culture and people strategy in this new position during a critical juncture of expansion and innovation. Bear is thrilled to support Netflix, which is regarded as one of the most admired workplaces in the world due to its dedication to talent and storytelling.

"I'm thrilled to share the news that I'll be joining Netflix!" Patty announced the news on LinkedIn. "I am eager to start this new journey and contribute to a company that is well-known for its storytelling, culture, and inventiveness that appeals to millions of people around the world."

In her capacity as Senior Director, HR Business Partner at PayPal, Bear was instrumental in advancing leadership development, organizational and cultural change, and strategic HR alignment. "It's time to turn the page to a new chapter after nearly 10 incredible years at PayPal," she said, looking back on her ten years there. I'm incredibly appreciative of the experience, the chances, the difficulties, and most of all, the intelligent and encouraging individuals I've had the good fortune to work with.

She also expressed gratitude to her colleagues and mentors as she starts this new chapter, saying, "To everyone who's been part of this journey so far — thank you." And I can't wait to begin this new journey with everyone I encounter.

Given Patty's vast background in strategic HR leadership and culture-building, it is expected that her appointment will enhance Netflix's reputation as a company that truly values its workers.
