  • The Happy Woman Platform was launched by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Intelligent Innovations in Lagos
  • It aims to promote financial inclusion and economic independence among women

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs partnered with Intelligent Innovations to launch the Happy Woman Platform, a national digital platform that aims to give access to resources and opportunities for 10 million women in Nigeria to use to access finance, mentors, and skills, to help support a sustainable economic independence journey.

The platform launched Friday in Lagos, and aims to bridge the opportunity gap for women across Nigeria by connecting access for micro-entrepreneurs, professionals and creatives to resources that directly support a trajectory of finance upward mobility, and long-term stability.

Happy Woman Platform, according to organizers, drives multiple opportunities such as access to loans, grants, developing business instruments and training that increase women's personal employability and entrepreneurship, and affordable wellness health partnerships.

Flagship programs provide the One Million Women Economic Empowerment Program with low-interest loans, equipment financing, and business support. The Happy Woman Founders Challenge is a national competition that funds 1,000 innovative, women-led businesses.

The Happy Woman Creator Program has been designed to provide mentorship, tools, and monetization opportunities for 10,000 female creators.

Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, said the launch symbolizes a major stride toward women's economic inclusion in Nigeria and falls in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for equitable access to opportunities.

Kunle Erinle, CEO of Intelligent Innovations, stated that the platform utilizes technology and partnerships to connect women to funding and career opportunities which will enable them to reach their goal of connecting as many as a million women with funding, training and community.

Co-Founder Omowunmi Akingbohungbe called the launch is a value for women's empowerment in Nigeria, calling on women across Nigeria to sign up and take advantage of the resources.

The portal looks to partner with other key stakeholders in finance, technology, insurance, and consumer goods to increase penetration - and, according to organizers - provide jobs, aid women entrepreneurs, and provide for the Nigerian economy.

Women can sign-up now at the Happy Woman portal to get started financially, with skills and empowerment opportunities.
