The North Shore Chamber of Commerce is excited to host its third annual THRIVE Summit on June 18, a special event celebrating women in business around Boston. The event will take place at the Boston Marriott in Peabody from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
THRIVE is an initiative by the Chamber aimed at supporting and enabling women leaders in the business world. Their mission is all about 'Educate, Enhance, and Enable', three simple words that guide everything they do. Kicking off the day, Susan MacKenty Brady, the founding CEO of The Simmons University Institute for Comprehensive Leadership, will be giving the opening speech.
Brady has authored four books focused on women navigating the world of business. She has written, “I dive deep into the power of leadership, relationships, self-awareness, respect, and accountability–the essential elements that ignite change.”
She’ll be handing over the torch to Amy Latimer, who’s been running the show at Boston’s TD Garden for many years. Now, she’s overseeing operations for Delaware North’s global hospital business, and she’ll be giving the keynote at the luncheon with a talk called ‘Leadership: Stepping Up to the Challenge.’
Latimer has been recognized as a ‘WISE Woman of the Year’ in 2015 and was named a ‘Boston Business Power Player’ by Boston Magazine in 2017. Thanks to her leadership, TD Garden was listed among The Boston Globe’s ‘Top 100 women-led businesses in Boston’. The Summit will also feature a marketplace where folks from women-owned businesses on the North Shore will be displaying their products and services.
