Osprey Orielle Lake to Speak at Praxis Peace Institute's Earth Day Program

  • The Founder and Director of Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network International will speak at the Praxis Peace Institute’s Earth Day program
  • Osprey Orielle Lake will be advocating for a salon event i.e., ‘Worldviews: Remaking a World in Crisis’

 

In the last week of April 2025, Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network International Founder Director Osprey Orielle Lake shall speak at the Earth Day program of Praxis Peace Institute, regarding the ways for addressing climate policy issues.

Being held at Sonoma’s Private home, her presentation entitled as ‘Worldviews: Remaking a World in Crisis’ is a salon event that took place on April 30, 2025, at 6 pm. For the event, the tickets costs around $20 for Praxis members and $25 for nonmembers which can be purchased from their official website.

In a news release, Praxis Director Georgia Kelly said, “She is in a unique position to talk about how to influence climate policy and where the inflection points are.”

Osprey Orielle will report on 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference that took on November 11 and 12 last year, in Azerbaijan.

In addition, Osprey’s knowledge towards climate issues and awareness of Indigenous wisdom have helped her to become a successful character leading, effective international environment-saving political campaigns.

Her professional journey has been encapsulated with working nationally and internationally with grassroot-level, Indigenous leaders as well as policymakers and business leaders along with scientists for promoting climate justice.

Moreover, Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network International has brought 100 global women leaders together under Osprey’s leadership for implementing a Women’s Climate Action Agenda. Her career also involves working with Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature as executive committee (currently working) and has also worked with International Rights of Nature Tribunals as a core organizer.
