Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce Honours Maritza Abadia as Banker of the Year

During its annual convention, the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce recently presented the prestigious Banker of the Year Zenit Award to Maritza Abadía, President of Banesco USA in Puerto Rico. The honor is a tribute to her significant contribution to Puerto Rico's economic development and her pivotal role in driving the bank's expansion.

For the past 12 years, Abadía has been in charge of Banesco USA's operations in Puerto Rico, spearheading the bank's strategic foray into new markets while upholding a high standard of customer satisfaction. Under her direction, Banesco USA has solidified its place in the island's commercial banking industry.

Having worked in the financial sector for more than thirty years, Maritza is the only woman in charge of a bank in Puerto Rico, a distinction that highlights her innovative leadership.
