Qatar Chamber hosted a dialogue session for women entrepreneurs in Doha, bringing together female business owners to exchange experiences, discuss business challenges, and explore opportunities for growth.
The session was organised by the Women Entrepreneurs Community (WEC), an initiative of the Youth Initiatives Incubator under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and the Young Entrepreneurs Club. The event was about having productive discussions on the topics of entrepreneurship, customer needs, brand building, business development, and how to sustain a growing business.
During the session, Hamda Al Kaabi, the leader of the Women Entrepreneurs Community initiative, emphasized the need to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for women entrepreneurs. The program seeks to offer a platform for women entrepreneurs to openly discuss their stories, successes, and struggles, and to learn from their peers' experiences.
The conversation also focused on the importance of women entrepreneurs creating a strong brand image and building awareness of what their customers expect from them. The participants agreed on the need to constantly improve the products and services offered to customers based on their constantly evolving tastes and market dynamics.
Key Highlights
A key theme throughout the discussion was the value of hands-on entrepreneurial experience. The participants discussed the lessons learned from the journey of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship management that can enable entrepreneurs to make informed decisions, address challenges, and explore opportunities for growth.
Perseverance, consistency, and adaptability were among the points the entrepreneurs stressed in developing sustainable businesses. Business owners spoke about the need to be responsive to the shifting market conditions, but at the same time, their main concern of focus was to provide high-quality products and services to customers as per their requirements.
The session also featured a question-and-answer session, where participants shared their experiences and the obstacles they had faced in starting and maintaining their businesses. The discussions provided an opportunity to share real-world insights into entrepreneurship and to connect with other female entrepreneurs facing comparable challenges.
With peers having these honest, business-based conversations, aspiring women entrepreneurs can gain insights into real business experience, and not just theoretical ones. The session also helped the participants understand that networking and sharing knowledge are crucial aspects of entrepreneurial growth and development, especially when businesses look for new connections, customers, and growth opportunities.
The Doha event is part of a series of events organised in the Youth Initiatives Incubator and the Young Entrepreneurs Club, aimed at supporting youth-led initiatives and incentivising youth engagement in entrepreneurship and innovation. One part of this larger initiative is the Women Entrepreneurs Community which aims to build relationships between existing and future female entrepreneurs.
The event offers a space for networking and skill sharing, where women entrepreneurs can exchange ideas, knowledge, and experiences. The initiative aims to connect women entrepreneurs for open discussions, business knowledge sharing, understanding of challenges, building professional relationships, and discussions of potential collaborations.
