QinetiQ US Appoints Jennifer Deaver as Chief People Officer

QinetiQ US has appointed Jennifer Deaver as its new Chief People Officer, strengthening the company's executive leadership as it continues to expand its workforce capabilities in support of defence and national security customers. In her new role, Deaver will lead the organisation's enterprise-wide people strategy, focusing on workforce planning, talent development, organisational culture, employee experience, leadership effectiveness, and recruitment priorities aligned with QinetiQ US's long-term business and mission objectives.

Deaver brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, recruitment strategy, workforce planning, organisational growth, and leadership hiring. Throughout her career, she has specialised in attracting and retaining highly skilled professionals across defence, intelligence, homeland security, engineering, information technology, and federal government programmes.

Before becoming Chief People Officer, Deaver served as Vice President at QinetiQ US after leading the company's Talent Acquisition division for more than three years. During her tenure, she developed recruitment strategies for specialised defence and national security programmes, strengthened workforce planning, expanded leadership recruitment initiatives, and established scalable hiring processes to support organisational growth.

Prior to joining QinetiQ US, Deaver worked as Director of Talent Acquisition at Avantus Federal. During a period of rapid expansion and the company's acquisition by QinetiQ, she helped shape enterprise talent strategies and supported workforce transformation to meet evolving business requirements.

Earlier in her career, Deaver held several senior recruitment leadership positions across the defence, technology, and federal sectors. At E3 Federal Solutions, she led recruitment strategies supporting federal acquisition, programme management, technology, and mission-focused consulting projects. At Aveshka, Inc., she recruited professionals across intelligence, cybersecurity, engineering, healthcare, policy, planning, and information technology, while developing expertise in hiring candidates with advanced security clearances for mission-critical government assignments in the United States and internationally.

She also progressed from Corporate Recruiter to Recruiting Manager at DLT Solutions, where she oversaw recruitment for engineering, technical, sales, marketing, and leadership roles supporting government and commercial clients. Earlier roles at Williams Tison and Placement Pros enabled her to build expertise in executive search, business development, client management, and full-cycle recruitment.

As Chief People Officer, Deaver will work closely with executive and operational leaders to strengthen workforce planning, develop future-ready talent pipelines, build high-performing teams, and align organisational capability with QinetiQ US's strategic priorities. Her responsibilities also include enhancing employee experience, leadership development, and organisational culture while supporting continued expansion across defence and security markets.
