Miami-based Quest Workspaces has achieved #11 on the South Florida Business Journal's list of the Top 100 Largest Women Owned Businesses in South Florida. The recognition highlights the company's ongoing development led by Founder and CEO Laura Kozelouzek and positions Quest amongst some of the most impactful female-led businesses in the region.
The ranking is the latest in a series of reports that indicate women's businesses are a growing force in the U.S. economy. Florida is a national leader in women's entrepreneurship, with a nearly 5.8 women-owned small business per 100 residents, the highest rate in the nation. In the state, 46.1% of businesses are owned by women, and they are increasingly playing a role in the economy and in communities throughout the state.
Key Highlights
There are an estimated 39% of all businesses owned by women, and an estimated $3.3 trillion of annual revenue generated by these businesses in the United States. Women were responsible for the creation of almost half of businesses started in 2024, indicating a positive trend in entrepreneurship and business ownership across the country.
“Being recognized as one of the largest women-owned businesses in South Florida is an honor I don't take lightly,” said Laura Kozelouzek, who started Quest with the goal of creating a business facility that truly made a difference for the individuals who wish to create their own businesses -- from entrepreneurs to small teams to growing businesses -- all needing a professional home that didn't require the commitment of a long-term lease.
She added that Quest’s growth validates the company’s mission and customer-focused approach. “The fact that we’ve grown into one of the largest operators in this region and now receive this recognition among the top women-owned businesses in South Florida tells me that model works. I’m proud of what our team has built, and I’m proud to be part of a generation of women founders who are showing what’s possible.”
The recognition also reflects broader changes in the business landscape. Women of Color make up almost half of the U.S. women-owned small businesses, with Black, Latina, and Asian Pacific women driving new business formation and economic growth.
While the women entrepreneurs have made advancement, there are still various issues such as lower average revenues and less institutional funding compared with the male entrepreneurs. For Laura, achievements such as the South Florida Business Journal ranking serve as both recognition and motivation to continue supporting entrepreneurs.
“We built Quest in South Florida, for South Florida,” Laura said. “The women on this list represent what this region is capable of. We’re honored to be among them and remain committed to creating environments where entrepreneurs and the next generation of women business leaders can do their best work.”
