  • Rosewood Hotel Group and have introduced a new yearly program, “Rise to the Table”, to help women in the workplace
  • The fully-funded worldwide program is intended to develop future female leaders in hospitality
  • It will also comprise members from the broader food and beverage industry, not only Rosewood associates

Rosewood Hotel Group and Rosewood Foundation launched “Rise to the Table”, an annual, fully funded international program to support women in the culinary and beverage fields.

The program has been created to offer leadership training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities for women, bridging the gap of underrepresentation of women in leadership positions, with less than seven percent of the world's best restaurants being headed by women.

The program will comprise 10 global industry captains from the food and beverage sector for a seven-night residency at Rosewood Hong Kong, in early March 2026.

The residency will also enable leadership and business capability development through professional coaching, strategy workshops, and workshops on personal branding, financial acumen, and sustainability-led innovation.

Participants will be exposed to the industry via structured exposure activities including wine tastings, local farm and market visits, and group dinners with chefs based in Hong Kong.

After the residency, each participant will also be engaged in a one-year mentorship program with a seasoned Rosewood leader to help provide ongoing guidance and mentorship through the completion of this program.

“Rosewood Foundation has worked behind the scenes since 2022 with the singular focus of making our communities more accessible, equitable, and sustainable. With the official launch of Rise to the Table, we are proud to extend that mission even further – empowering women with the tools, expertise, and opportunities they need to thrive, fostering a more inclusive future in hospitality and beyond,” Mehvesh Mumtaz Ahmed, Vice President of Impact and Sustainability, Rosewood Hotel Group

The program is going to be annual and participants in the program will have subsequent residencies at different Rosewood Hotel Group properties around the globe.

According to Rosewood Hotel Group, the project is meant to provide equitable access, opportunities, and mentorship across the food and beverage sector, as well as build a supportive and celebratory community of women professionals around the world.

The Rosewood Foundation, the charitable arm of Rosewood Hotel Group, is focused on equity, sustainability, and opportunity; it conducts initiatives that support women, improve youth employment, and develop global circular innovation.
