Sikkim Sporting Club emerged victorious in today's match against Dun Heritage Siliguri as part of the ongoing friendly women's T20 cricket tournament between Nepal and India.
Dun elected to bat after winning the toss, and was bowled out for a mere 47 runs in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Sikkim Sporting Club successfully chased down the target in just 13.3 overs whilst only losing 2 wickets in the process.
Happy Sarkar accumulated 15 runs for Dun and they were backed up by Marion Subba of Sikkim Sporting Club who took 2 wickets for 8 runs off of 4 overs. Notable run-scorers for Sikkim Sporting Club included Marion Subba with 21 runs and Pramila Chhetri with 14 runs. Marion Subba was awarded Player of the Match.
The last group match will take place on Friday September 8th between Milan Cricket Club Jhapa and Alpine Sporting Club Sikkim. The final match will occur on Saturday, according to Gaurav Subba, Sports Coordinator for Nepal and India Friendship Association Jhapa.
