United Bank for Africa Hosts Business Series for Female Leaders

Business Series at United Bank for Africa (UBA) featured an event focused on female leaders and entrepreneurs discussing how `Gen W: The Evolved Woman`.

The hybrid format consists of hybrid (combination of virtual attendance and in-person attendance) discussions. UBA hosted this event in Marina, Lagos and streamed it globally, being part of International Women's Month.

This edition highlights how women's leadership roles, business impacts and creativity are evolving. This series of discussions demonstrates how African women positively influence various industries and help create sustainable solutions to problems.

The discussion consisted of an opening statement made by UBA's Group Head of Customer Experience Michelle Nwoga. Michelle described an evolved woman as an active participant who takes ownership and speaks up about issues that are important to her.

Panellists included entrepreneur Joycee Awosika (founder of ORIKÌ Group), media personality Tomike Adeoye (founder and producer), Olufunke Davies (founder of Fine-Funky) and broadcaster Ayo Mario-Ese. Each panellist shared her personal professional journey and discussed common themes they experienced as female business owners.

As the final panellist, UBA's Group Head of Brand, Marketing and Corporate Communication Alero Ladipo also recognised the contributions made by panellists and participants.

In addition, she discussed UBA's Gen W platform, which provides women with lifestyle support (such as information) and gives women additional ways to connect with one another.
