Vietnamese Businesswomen Association in Europe was established on April 5th at the launch ceremony in Berlin and is viewed as one of the major milestones toward improving the relationship between women entrepreneurs of Vietnamese descent living in Europe.

The launching event was hosted by the Union of Vietnamese Women’s Associations in Germany in cooperation with the first Vietnamese Culture Festival in Europe, and was attended by representatives from 10 different countries in Europe with women’s associations operating in each of those areas.

According to Trinh Thi Mui, President of the Union, the creation of the association will allow Vietnamese women entrepreneurs in Europe to create business contacts and help them form business cooperation.

She has encouraged all women entrepreneurs, no matter what type or the size of their business, to become a member of the association in order to help each other and develop together.

A management board of the association for the period of 2025-2028 will be comprised of women entrepreneurs of Vietnamese descent from various European countries.

Most of those women have experience as both business owners and community activists who have internationally engaged with and traveled to countries across Europe.

The organization will be based on five core values: voluntarism, non-profit, transparency, sustainability. The Association's objectives include enabling individuals to exchange experiences; supporting one another; working collaboratively, branding themselves together; and promoting Vietnamese women's empowerment within a contemporary societal context.

Nguyen Dac Thanh from the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany stated that the creation of this organization signifies an increasing involvement of Vietnamese women within the entrepreneurial sector.

Furthermore, he believes it will foster relationships between Vietnamese companies doing business in Europe with those doing business back home in order to help build commercial partnerships.

The cultural festival also held during the launch celebration represents an opportunity to showcase the rich cultural traditions of the Vietnamese people along with providing an opportunity for building community amongst the Vietnamese population living in Europe to create charitable works.
