  • Bahraini females can now become part of international ELEVATE programme of ICAIRE.
  • The program is designed to close the gender gap in technology by empowering women.

Recently, it has been announced that Bahraini women can now take part in a significant global drive to acquire artificial intelligence and next-generation technologies following the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics (ICAIRE) opening the gates to the second phase of its ELEVATE programme.

Created in collaboration with Microsoft, the programme seeks to equip 25,000 women across the globe with a flexible online model. Able to be joined by women from any background, it provides valuable Al skills, internationally accepted certifications, and one-on-one mentoring by international experts.

Training during the programme includes an array of in-demand subject matter such as machine learning, computer vision, cloud computing, data analysis, and Al ethics. Taught solely in English through an online platform, ELEVATE is created to enhance access and remove obstacles to taking part, especially for women where access to advanced tech training is low.

In a statement, ICAIRE team said, “This is not just a training programme - it's a global movement to empower women with the tools, confidence, and opportunities to shape the future of technology.”

Moreover, ELEVATE aligns with wider objective ICAIRE i.e., fostering inclusive participation within the digital economy and bridging the gender divide in the Al sector. As a Riyadh-based UNESCO Category II Centre, ICAIRE emphasizes responsible innovation and inclusive skill development in artificial intelligence.
