Women in Gaming Africa (WiG Africa) are making its powerful global entrance by partnering with SBC for the coveted SBC Summit 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal. This is the venture's first time in taking its Africa-led mission to the world, a significant turning point in its history.
SBC partnership—a gaming, payments, fintech, affiliate marketing, and entertainment industry leader—provides WiG Africa a significant platform for the presentation of African leadership and talent on a global gaming stage. SBC conferences are famous for gathering the best innovators and decision-makers in one place, providing necessary arenas for building the future of the industry.
After a resounding launch in 2024, the SBC Summit is scheduled to come back to Lisbon between September 16 and 18, 2025. The conference will host approximately 30,000 delegates and consist of a six-stage conference with major topics including global markets, upcoming trends, payments, affiliation, player protection, and hands-on workshops under the 'Operator Academy.'
WiG Africa, present across South and West Africa, plans to leave a strong mark at the summit by bringing together its members, partners, and supporters to promote the continent's fast-evolving gaming ecosystem.
Lois Bright, the founder of WiG Africa, pointed out the importance of the moment: “This is not merely an opportunity for networking—it's a first in history. It is significant that SBC has invited WiG Africa to be part of such a big-ticket international event. It makes a statement to the world that Africa's voice in gaming is significant and getting louder”.
The summit will be a strong podium to shine the spotlight on African women in gaming, build global connections, and make Africa proud with its creativity, resilience, and leadership globally.
