Talking about the overall impact that the ongoing conflict hashad on the Renewable Energy sector, Inna Braverman, Co- Founder& CEO, Eco Wave Power (Isreal), says “For technologies like wave energy, which can generate predictable power near demand centers, this shift presents a strategic opportunity. In times of instability, the value of decentralized, infrastructure-integrated renewable energy becomes even more evident.” 

Inna is of the view that amid geopolitical tension thatsurrounds the region, a shift towards locally produced, sustainable energy has intensified. This has reinforced the belief that energy security is a key component of national safety. The ecosystem built now provides a unique opportunity for technologies such as wave energy offering predictable, infrastructure-integrated power. Governments and corporations are increasingly prioritizing locally produced, resilient energy solutions to reduce dependence on volatile fuel markets. From this standpoint, she adds that with supply chains disruptions and increase in oil-prices, wave energy aids as a reliable solution, reducing reliance on volatile, globally traded fuels.

She further talks about the steps/strategies implemented to deal with the challenges posed by the geo-political turmoil across the Gulf region. “We continue to prioritize projects that leverage existing coastal infrastructure, which allows for faster deployment and reduced logistical complexity. At the same time, we are expanding geographically to ensure that our pipeline is not concentrated in any single region,” explains Inna.

“Our approach centres on building a resilient and diverse portfolio, leveraging existing coastal infrastructure to speed up project execution. By focusing on projects that utilize existing coastal infrastructure, we achieve faster deployment and lower logistical complexity. We are also diversifying our geographic footprints to avoid regional concentration, maintain maintaining close coordination across teams and partners to proactively manage supply chain risks and timelines. Crucially, our onshore technology simplifies and builds easier access, and maintenance, and adaptability, which is particularly valuable during periods of geopolitical uncertainty.”
