Applications Open for Womens Business Program in Puerto Rico

• The Academia Mujer Empresaria con FastTrac program is seeking applicants to participate in hybrid course
• This program provides participants with the opportunity to take ideas they may have for a business

The Metro Women's Business Center, operated by the Asociación Productos de Puerto Rico, has opened applications for Academia Mujer Empresaria con FastTrac, an eight-week program in hybrid format that will help women in Puerto Rico develop ideas for businesses into structured enterprises.

The program uses the Kauffman Foundation-developed FastTrac curriculum and is designed to provide step-by-step guidance, enabling participants to work directly on the design and development of their own businesses.

The sessions are led by entrepreneurship specialists and oriented toward practical application. As an announcement about the program notes, “FastTrac is not just a course; it is an applied learning experience where women entrepreneurs can take ideas and build them into a tangible business project and with a solid base for longer-term success.”

The new cohort starts on February 28 and will be the fourth to take place in Puerto Rico via the Metro Women's Business Center. The curriculum covers strategic business planning, financial projections, target market and competitive positioning, and planning for business launch or expansion.

Academia Mujer Empresaria is a part of the overall efforts of the center to reach women who start and run small businesses. The facility is open to women who are at different levels of entrepreneurship, either developing ideas or scaling the businesses they may have.
