BBC Studios has united its ANZ and Asia media and streaming operations under a single APAC region. Robi Stanton has been appointed to the expanded role of president, APAC media & streaming, to lead the new unified region.
The appointment fits into BBC Studios' strategy of simplifying its structure across the globe to help drive growth through the major international markets.
Robi is a well-seasoned media executive who, with her background in commercial strategy and regional leadership, joined the BBC Studios earlier this year and has played an important role in reshaping the organization's approach in Asia Pacific.
This move forms part of a significant strategic step forward under Stanton's leadership, says Marcus Arthur, CEO of BBC Studios Global Channels, Streaming and UKTV.
He added that Stanton brings clarity, energy, and strong commercial insight, and he's confident this will create new opportunities for growth and collaboration across APAC.
Robi further expressed her excitement about driving the next stage of the company as it develops a more interconnected and agile business centred on providing premium content and experiences to audiences across the region.
Before joining BBC Studios in March 2025, Stanton held senior leadership roles at CNN International, Warner Bros.
Discovery and Turner International in Australia and Singapore, leading business operations, transformation projects and teams across content, commercial, marketing, digital and operations.
