The ‘Property and Paradise’ lunch in Bournemouth brought together leading women from the property industry for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to mental health awareness and meaningful networking.
Organized by MSP Capital at The Nici Hotel & Spa on West Cliff, the tropical-themed evening invited developers, surveyors, estate agents, and other industry professionals. The event raised almost £1,000 for Dorset Mind, a charity for mental health, including £400 raised from tombola and additional donations made by MSP Capital and event sponsor Ellis Jones Solicitors.
Audiences were inspired by keynote speaker Erin Kennedy OBE, world champion rower and breast cancer campaigner, who gave an uplifting message about staying focused and being resilient after her diagnosis with breast cancer at the age of 29.
MSP Capital finance director Nicky Hollamby emphasized the dual purpose of the event: "We wanted to create a positive way for women in property to come together informally in summery surroundings while raising money for Dorset Mind. Erin's message really struck a chord and contributed to the positive vibe. It was a celebration of women, creativity, and mental health."
Ellis Jones partner Kate Brooks said: "Erin's inspiring speech was a real eye-opener and totally resonated with the message of the event relating to mental health and wellbeing."
Live drawings by artist Georgia Brent added to the occasion, with donations of prizes from The Nici Hotel, Langham Wine Estate, and The Handmade Christmas Company helping to create the lively and community-based event.
