The Bristol Women in Business Charter (BWIBC) has welcomed Sarah Rice to its board of directors to aid the growth of the Charter and its concentration on inclusion as a leading business priority across the region.

Sarah has close to 30 years of experience in strategic communications, the last eight years of which have been dedicated to HR and recruitment-related PR and marketing through her consultancy, Sarah PR.

She follows founding director Sandra Gordon and HR expert Kristal Macnamara, who joined as a director in 2022, as well as the Charter's operational and ambassador teams.

Her appointment comes as the Charter unveils its five-year strategy to drive inclusion and fairness in the workplace.

For Sandra, the appointment underscores the Charter's expansion and the expanding recognition of inclusion as an issue at the heart of business. Marketing and communications, she added, will be key to spreading the Charter's influence and showing the impact of business action.

Sarah, who became an ambassador of the Charter in 2023, reported that the initiative is centered on creating quantifiable change for Bristol's workforce and business communities, and was interested in helping with the next phase of its development.
