Astro Shapes, a portfolio company of Wynnchurch Capital and a custom aluminum extrusion manufacturer, has appointed Carol Jackson to serve as its Chief Executive Officer.
With extensive experience in executive management, Carol most recently served as President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HarbisonWalker International (now part of Calderys).
Before joining HWI in 2014, she held the position of Vice President for Carpenter Technology Corporation’s Bar, Wire and Strip business unit.
Also, prior to this role, she spent over 12 years at PPG Industries, where she was involved in various leadership positions in sales, strategy and business management; and also was responsible for leading the company’s global raw materials procurement organization.
In addition to her work at Astro Shapes, she is a current member of the Board of Directors of AZZ Inc., where she is the Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and sits on the Compensation Committee; and also of Sensient Technologies Corporation, where she serves on the Audit and Nominating and Governance Committees.
Pennsylvania attorney Carol is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Juris Doctor and of the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University with a Master’s degree.
She also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Duquesne University. Carol operates her own law firm as well as being an active participant in the Pittsburgh area community, formerly serving as both an alumna and board member for Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania.
