Created by Women Award Launched to Support Ukrainian Businesswomen

• Applications for the 8th Created by Women Award will open on February 2
• The award is a social initiative of the Franco-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
• The competition is centered on supporting women entrepreneurs who operate in difficult conditions

Applications for the 8th edition of the “Created by Women” Award will open on February 2. The award is a social project of the Franco-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has been providing business development opportunities for women entrepreneurs since 2019.

The award is intended to support women’s businesses operating in a war and unstable environment, as well as to promote the role of women entrepreneurs in the national economy and overcome stereotypes about women in business.

The participants also receive opportunities for media coverage, interaction with the French business community, and new partnerships.

Currently, women’s entrepreneurship in Ukraine is actively developing. In 2025, women have registered over 153,000 new individual enterprises; accounting for 61% of all newly registered individual entrepreneurs in the country.

At the same time, women entrepreneurs are still facing challenges, such as a lack of access to investment and credit, as well as the need to run businesses in a secure environment and with energy availability.

The award winners are granted business development awards in the amount of UAH 100,000 to UAH 200,000, as well as consulting assistance and membership in the Franco-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The membership allows for connections with international business partners. The finalists are provided with pitching training, and all participants are given access to a webinar on personal brand development.

Apart from the general categories, the partner companies of the award also offer special prizes to projects that resonate with their values and have good ideas and social impact.

Since its inception, the Created by Women Award has managed to attract over 1,500 participants, with the total grant amount.

Some of the award-winning projects include recycled furniture for shelters, tactical wheelchairs for emergency evacuation, free vehicle repair and training for veterans, and agricultural innovation projects, among others.
