Dr Helen Li Joins WSP as MD for Mainland China & Hong Kong

Dr. Helen Li Hongyu has been appointed Managing Director for Hong Kong & Mainland China at WSP, where she will lead the firm's integrated service offerings across the region and support its growth as major government-led development plans gather pace.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Dr. Helen previously served as Executive Director, Strategic Growth, Hong Kong & Mainland China, where she strengthened client engagement, advanced strategic initiatives and implemented structured programs to better align WSP's expertise with clients' evolving needs.

In her new role, Dr. Helen will focus on strengthening WSP’s integrated service offerings across Hong Kong and Mainland China, supporting the region’s strong momentum of growth as major government-led development plans take shape.

Before joining WSP in 2025, Dr. Helen has held senior leadership roles within engineering consultancies across the region. She holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Edinburgh and a Master’s in Sustainability from the University of Cambridge.
