In order to scale the impact, women entrepreneurs now have a unique opportunity due to the launch of an initiative by EY in an alliance with Bright Tide. The initiative is being supported by Microsoft and Women’s World Banking.
For its latest cohort, the SDG Accelerator, specifically for women entrepreneurs have started accepting applications. In addition, the program has been designed with an intent towards assisting a total of five female-led, AI-powered enterprises which is advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) within Africa, Latin America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
With an aim to address the persistent support as well as the funding gap that women founder come across, this initiative will help them build purpose-driven ventures in emerging markets.
Moreover, the program can be applied by Female founders/co-founders with ownership stakes and are key decision-makers (CEO/MD); enterprises that makes use of AI/ML for social impact while committing to responsible AI practices; Social enterprises having any sort of legal structure i.e., nonprofits, for-profits, hybrids, or cooperatives.
Once the participants get selected, they will receive one-on-one business coaching from EY professionals, technical workshops alongside capacity-building sessions which are led by global industry experts. They will also get global network access of investors, corporates and social innovators.
