LLC MDO FINCA Tajikistan has reinforced its commitment to women entrepreneurs through new recognitions and strategic partnerships aimed at expanding financial inclusion and business support for women across the country.

During Spring 2026, the company achieved two major milestones that highlighted its growing role in empowering women-led businesses in Tajikistan. The National Bank of Tajikistan awarded FINCA Tajikistan with a second place diploma and a commemorative statuette for its exemplary work in the facilitation of women entrepreneurs with non-banking financial services. The award was given after a national competition that assessed the financial institutions that are supporting women entrepreneurs.

The company attributes the accomplishment to the hard work of the FINCA Women's Club team, which has been working on various financial education, mentoring and client support projects specifically for women entrepreneurs.

Key Highlights

  • FINCA Women’s Club recognized for impactful women entrepreneur support initiatives
  • FINCA joins global WE Finance Code initiative for women businesses
  • Rural women entrepreneurs to receive enhanced mentoring, capital, and training

On April 3, 2026, FINCA Tajikistan officially entered the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code (WE Finance Code) in a ceremony in Dushanbe, marking another important milestone in the organization's efforts. The event was held with the participation of the Association of Financial Organizations of Tajikistan, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and with the support of the National Bank.

WE Finance Code is a worldwide movement that aims to improve financial access and opportunities of women-led businesses. As part of this collaboration, FINCA will launch more specific credit products and other services like business mentoring, entrepreneurship training and financial literacy programs.

The importance of supporting women entrepreneurs, especially in the rural areas was highlighted by Andrey Palka, Director-General of FINCA Tajikistan.

Joining the Code is a logical continuation of our mission. We understand that women in rural areas are the backbone of the local economy, yet they find it most challenging to grow. Therefore, we are going beyond ordinary lending. We want every woman entrepreneur to have the tools, capital, and confidence to develop her business.”

As part of the global FINCA Impact Finance network, FINCA Tajikistan continues to advance women’s economic empowerment by helping clients improve livelihoods, build assets, and generate employment opportunities.
