Flyzone Tourism has partnered with Shemeans Business to create greater international travel and business opportunities for Nigerian women entrepreneurs. The collaboration aims to connect women-led businesses with global markets, tourism destinations and international business networks.
As part of the partnership, Flyzone Tourism will provide comprehensive travel services for Shemeans Business international programs. The collaboration will begin with the Global Women in Business program, which is scheduled to take place in Qatar in October.
Principal Executive of Flyzone Tourism, Amb. Ayodeji Awomoyi, announced the partnership during an interview at the company’s corporate office in Ikeja. He highlighted the role of international exposure in helping women entrepreneurs expand their businesses and build stronger connections beyond Nigeria.
Key Highlights:
Awomoyi said the initiative would particularly benefit women working in tourism and related industries by giving them opportunities to explore new markets engage with potential business partners and develop cross-border relationships. The partnership is expected to support greater participation of Nigerian women entrepreneurs in international business and travel programs.
He said the operations of the flights would be handled by the organizers of the Flyzone, while accommodation as well as visa facilitation and other travel arrangements would be done by them, capturing that exposure to international settings would enable the Nigerian women entrepreneurs to expand their businesses and build a strong network.
Awomoyi added that in the event they are seeking partners, they should not limit themselves to Nigeria alone, noting that Flyzone would assist the future Shemeans programs in other countries like Singapore, Cape Town and Australia.
The collaboration is a new dimension of Flyzone's travel and tourism business, which has been offering services to corporate organizations, government agencies, manufacturing companies and oil and gas firms, he said.
Shemeans Business Co-Founder Marycollete Kaka Kekong noted that Flyzone was engaged because they were looking for a travel industry expert to handle all logistics for Shemeans' international programs.
Kekong noted Qatar's selection for the upcoming program was due to its ease of access and being an international travel hub for participants to meet entrepreneurs from various countries.
According to her, the program was intended to empower Nigerian women to situate their businesses to engage in international collaborations, markets and possibly funding; and at the same time, build the business of travel consultants with a more structured operating system.
Shirley Enlrida Rolanda, Chief Executive Officer of Mount Fore Noturo, Anna Jankoviak, Founder of Crywit and Kekong are a few speakers from the Global Women in Business program.
As part of the drive to increase opportunities for women entrepreneurs via travel, tourism and international business networks, both organizations said it would be scaled up to other international destinations.
