Jane Mann Becomes Cambridge's First Education Chief

The world education organization Cambridge University Press & Assessment has appointed Jane Mann as its first Chief Education Officer. Under Jane’s leadership, Cambridge will advance its global footprint in education innovation, research and impact and enhance its influence on shaping the future of teaching, learning and assessment on a global scale, from August 1, 2026.

As part of her new role, Jane will lead Cambridge's interventions in critical areas of education where it needs to be more involved, such as the future of assessment, evidence-based practices to enhance education systems around the world, and the impact of artificial intelligence on learning and assessment. The new position underscores Cambridge's dedication to developing education practices grounded in research and meets the changing needs of learners, teachers and policy makers.

Jane has a wealth of leadership experience in the role gained at the Managing Director of Partnership for Education and the Education Director of Cambridge's International Education Group. In the last ten years she has helped to shape strategic global partnerships and novel educational projects that have increased Cambridge's international impact.

Her notable contributions include the HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship for enhancing quality education through technology and collaborative learning, and the UNICEF Learning Passport for raising awareness of the importance of access to quality education through technology and participatory learning. She has also served as a representative for Cambridge at various international forums, including the United Nations General Assembly and the Education World Forum, where she has helped build the network and partnerships of Cambridge around the world.

Commenting on her appointment, Jane Mann said:
