On the 27th, the Korea Women's Business Association declared that it had contributed 517 million won in cash and merchandise to help the people impacted by the March forest fires. Together, the Women's Federation, its 19 regional branches, and member companies raised 480 million won in donations, bedding, and deodorants, enabling the contribution.
The Korean Red Cross in Gyeongsangnam-do, the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea, and the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea were among the organizations to which the donations were given. These donations are intended to help people in fire-affected areas like Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan recover and resume their regular lives.
In order to support long-term recovery efforts, additional assistance will also be given through aid organizations and local governments. According to Park Chang-sook, chairwoman of the Women's Economic Association, "I hope the generosity of women entrepreneurs brings some comfort and hope to those affected by the wildfires, as I deeply empathize with their pain." "We are still dedicated to helping those in need by sharing and carrying out our social obligations."
