Midland Bank Hosts Leadership Workshop for Women Employees

  • In all, 41 female employees from different branches and departments attended the program

 

Midland Bank PLC organized an all-day workshop focused on providing its female workforce with leadership skills. Fifty-one percent of the bank’s operation consists of female employees.

The workshop was chaired by the bank’s head of Human Resources, Zubayed Ur Rahman, and was attended by a total of 41 female employee officers from various departments within Midland Bank, who are seeking to develop leadership skills in the workplace.

In addition to the chair, the following individuals made presentations during the workshop; Dr. Mohammad Tazul Islam, a professor at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management, Md. Mozaharul Islam, an officer at Janata Bank Ltd., and Shushanta Shekhar Dev, head of the Treasury Division of Midland Bank.

Key topics discussed during this workshop include: leadership qualities and how they apply to women in the workplace, the decision-making process, professional development, and the evolving role of women in professional settings.

The organization was also encouraged to provide equal opportunity to women in all areas of their functional process to ensure organizations still exist and can continue to provide services in the future.

According to Midland Bank, they will continue to provide women employees with training to enhance their leadership abilities.
