Pantar Amsterdam has announced that Kirsten Botman is their new Director of Operations. She will take up the position of Manager Finance & Control (F&C) and Information & Innovation (I&I) with the organization as well as Director of Operations with effect from 1 December 2026 when Pantar's updated organizational structure is implemented.
The appointment is part of Pantar's organizational restructuring to make its structure more fluid and integrate the links between work, development, and support. The new model aims to improve the organization's capacity to meet the changing needs of the residents of Amsterdam and Diemen who are limited in their capacity to participate in the labor market and respond to the changing circumstances in the market.
Kirsten has a wealth of experience in business operations, finance, business strategy, risk management, governance and organizational development. She has most recently held the position of CFO at Rewire, a Data & AI consulting firm, where she was on the executive board and co-led financial leadership & governance, commercial steering, forecasting, performance optimization and finance transformation programs. Before that, she served as Director Legal & Finance at IG&H, leading the international expansion, private equity deals, acquisitions, pricing strategy, governance and performance management.
Key Highlights:
Kirsten's previous experience includes over nine years with ABN AMRO, and various senior finance and transformation leadership roles. Her responsibilities as Finance Transformation Lead & Business Management included developing the global finance long-term strategy, leading enterprise-wide transformation efforts. Prior to this, she served as Country CFO for ABN AMRO Luxembourg S.A. where she was responsible for finance for the private banking and life insurance division and was a part of the country management team.
She also served in various leadership positions such as Manager Business Control – Retail Banking, Analyst ALM/Treasury – Strategy & Planning, Commodity Sales Advisor – Financial Markets and Business Manager to the Chief Risk Officer where she was involved in finance strategy, treasury, risk management, liquidity planning and large scale transformation programs.
In addition to her executive experience, Kirsten has developed a strong portfolio of governance and supervisory experience. She is currently a Member of SER Topvrouwen, the Member of the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee of Het Balletorkest (The Dutch Ballet Orchestra) and a Member of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee of Kennemerhart, one of the top elderly care providers in the Netherlands. She was also previously a Non-Executive Board Member of SIMA Angaza Distributor Finance Fund, where she assisted in the financial inclusion and renewable energy projects in the East African region.
As part of her new job, Kirsten will also be responsible for the ongoing development of Pantar's business operations, and assist in implementing agreements with the municipality, as well as plant improvements already ongoing. Her appointment will help Pantar's work on operational excellence, organisational development and how to make more social impact for individuals who are further away from the labour market.
