Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier has been named CEO of Revolut, a fintech leader, at its new headquarters in Paris for Western Europe. With Cossa-Dumurgier concentrating on obtaining a complete banking license from the European Central Bank (ECB) and the French regulator (ACPR), this hub will serve as the focal point of Revolut's banking activities in the area.
Before joining BNP Paribas in 2004, Béatrice began her career at McKinsey and the French Ministry of Finance, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. She served in high-level positions for more than 15 years, including CEO of personal investors and COO of retail banking. After that, she worked as COO at BlaBlaCar and Believe, a digital music company. She also served on the board of Société Générale, a position she has since resigned, and she is still an independent board member of Peugeot Invest.
Revolut's dual-hub EU banking strategy includes the appointment. Béatrice is in charge of the company's Western European operations, while Joe Heneghan remains in charge of its EU operations from Lithuania. Sid Jajodia from Revolut's London headquarters continues to oversee global banking, while Francesca Carlesi is in charge of the UK division.
"Béatrice brings deep banking expertise and a strong track record of driving growth," said Nik Storonsky, founder of Revolut, in his welcoming statement. Our regulatory framework will be strengthened and our regional expansion will be accelerated thanks in large part to her leadership. This illustrates our goal of becoming France's and Western Europe's leading digital bank.
"I'm honored to join Revolut at such a pivotal time," Béatrice continued. I'm excited to contribute to one of the most ambitious banking initiatives in Europe and help establish lasting trust with both regulators and consumers.
