STNN IWD 2026 Finale Awards Grant to Women Innovators

The Seed Transformation Network Nigeria (STNN) hosted a series of events to culminate the International Women’s Day celebration and raise funds for innovation projects for women entrepreneurs.

This event is dedicated to celebrating accomplished female entrepreneurs who have made great strides in Africa. Olamide Olajide, of Shoeniverse Leathers, received an award for the best woman entrepreneur with a cash prize of N1 million to help her start her business.

Omolola Ajayi (President of Stanford Seed Transformation Network Nigeria) opened the program by welcoming everyone in attendance (including entrepreneurs, business owners, and industry leaders) and explaining how the finalists were chosen for the program out of 100 applicants.

The keynote speech was given by Uche Pedro (Chief Executive Officer of BellaNaija). Uche discussed her personal experiences as an entrepreneurial leader and how research can be used to advance entrepreneurship and to create well-structured companies.
